Expanded Polystyrene (EPS)  Polytec / Polystyrene offers a number of commercial and non commercial uses such as building materials, including varieties of insulated sheathing and pipe insulation as well as thermal insulation in construction, agriculture, cold storage, packaging, cushioning of valuable goods and food packaging.

Flame retardant EPS distinctly reduces the flammability and the spread of flame on the surface of foamed articles. This productis self-extinguishing as soon as the ignition source is removed Fire Retardant FR grade (Styrene unfaced) has
obtained a B/B1/2/H&V with & without sprinklers when tested in accordance with SANS 428
Acoustic Properties

EPS is not known as a good sound absorbing product due to its closed cell structure and low density. Insulpro offers a range of alternative acoustical insulation products if required.

Sheet Insulation

These systems are available in different thickness and sizes depending on the specification for insulation. Odourless, inert and fully compatible with all standard building materials and components – Resistant to fresh water, salt water, alcohol, weak and certain strong acids, weak and strong alkalis, resistant to most vegetable and animal oils – EPS is vulnerable to ketones, esters, hydrocarbon chlorides, benzol, petrol, fuel and turpentine.

Pipe Insulation

EPS is a low cost, resilient, and energy efficient method for pipe insulation applications ranging between temperatures of -110°C and 74°C. EPS comes in standard sizes and it can be cut to specification to meet your pipe insulation project requirements. EPS pipe insulation aids in process control, conservation of energy, and personal/equipment protection.
