Description

Mineral Wool is composed of a unique highly specialised mineral fibre – spun by a special process from molten rock and slag having high silica and alumina values. The fibres are felted into felts (blankets) or boards and bonded into the various thicknesses and densities.

Acoustic Performance

Mineral Wool products are made from non-combustible mineral fibres containing inherently low levels of water leachable chlorides. Mineral Wool is “not classified as to carcinogenicity to humans”. According to the International Agency for Research on Cancer.

Permanence

Corrosivity

  • Mineral wool can be considered as non-aggresive and also as non-corrosive, unless influenced by external factors.
  • Insulmatt typically contains less than 3ppm chloride.

Operating Temperature
